Write down the missing information first
A client asks about a home, and your AI needs current listing context. Another project needs parcel history for a group of properties. Those requests call for different data. Comparing the two subscription prices before naming the request won't tell you which connection fits.
Make a short list of the facts your output needs. Include the location and whether you need a current listing, a recorded property event, or an estimate. Keep those categories separate during the evaluation.
Compare the connection and the bill
The ATTOM figure is for Basic Property API. It doesn't establish the price or dataset allowance of its MCP service. Get the quote for the delivery method you intend to use.

| Starting price shown here | $29/mo, supplied directory rate | Basic Property API from $500/month |

Evaluate Farmhand on a familiar property
Farmhand's public setup describes API access for AI tools that accept authenticated HTTP requests. Start with a property you know and inspect the record your account returns. Check the fields that matter for the brief before asking your AI to interpret them.
If your workflow depends on MLS listing information, confirm the applicable access with Farmhand. A working connection doesn't establish coverage for every MLS. Also check whether your AI can use the documented API directly or needs an adapter.
Evaluate ATTOM against a field list
ATTOM's Property Data API covers property records, including assessment and sales information. It offers a separate MCP service for compatible AI applications. Dataset and endpoint availability depend on the service and license.
Use your field list to check the proposed plan. If a field is available only in a different package, include that cost before choosing. Avoid treating an example response as proof that your subscription will return the same fields for all properties.
Use the same evaluation worksheet
Keep a note of a useful failure too. If the lookup finds the wrong unit, the workflow needs an identity check before you reuse it. A convincing paragraph about the wrong property is still the wrong result.
- Record the property identifier and the fields your task requires.
- Mark each field as returned, missing, or unclear, with its source date when available.
- Ask your AI to draft the same brief from each authorized result.
- Compare the corrections you make and the access cost for your expected usage.
Choose for the work you will repeat
Start with Farmhand if the task is a property brief in your existing AI and its account access covers the needed records. Start with ATTOM if its datasets and delivery options match a broader research or application requirement.
Keep an existing connection when it already meets the task at an acceptable cost. Test a replacement against a specific missing capability. This comparison is based on documented access, not a timed benchmark or an accuracy ranking.
